Siberian Storm Slot Review & Free Play

Siberian Storm: Hunt Down the Tiger for Up to 25,000x Max Win

IGT takes me into a snow-covered forest with Siberian Storm, where the MultiWay Xtra feature and a 25,000x max win are waiting. To get near that advertised prize, I had to face the magnificent Siberian tigers protecting this frozen land. I spent nearly two hours fighting through this jungle for up to 240 Free Spins, and this is how it went.

The slot uses an unusual 3-4-5-4-3 grid with 720 payways that work in both directions. In simple terms, you need three or more identical symbols to land a win, and the combinations can be formed from either side of the grid.

During the base game, I was landing wins every three to four spins, with average returns sitting between 0.90x and 1.80x my bet. Surprisingly, even with the payways working both ways, I still faced dry stretches of more than 10 spins.

Adding to my disappointment, the symbol payouts were extremely low. My highest base-game win reached only 4x my bet. As for the bonus, you’ll need to land at least one scatter on every reel, making this one of the toughest requirements for a retriggerable free spins feature.

After almost 200+ spins, I landed my first bonus round, which started with eight free spins. Here, more than one winning combination on the same spin awards free spins; those spins are added together at once. In my case, the round eventually reached 25 spins and gave me a total return of 37x my bet.

Without multipliers or frequent wilds to boost the wins, the bonus round failed to recover what I had lost in the base game. There is also no Bonus Buy or Ante Bet available, so relying on the game's features is pretty much your only way forward. Unfortunately, I couldn't trigger the bonus round a second time during my session either.

Siberian Storm is now more than a decade old, and it showed that during my session. Compared with the more rewarding mechanics found in modern slots, this one is much easier to forget. If you’re happy with frequent smaller base-game wins, you might enjoy spending around 100 spins here, but not more.
