Neon Valley Studios has opened a portal to ancient Egypt with the King of Alexandria slot game. I decided to jump in and I was transported in front of a grand pyramid where flashing orbs and mystical gems carry up to 2,500x jackpots. That’s not all, expanding wilds and respins are also available here. But is the game any good? Let’s find out!
Standing in front of the pyramid, I found it puzzling since Alexandria should have had more Greek architecture than Egyptian. Despite that small inconsistency, the game looks and feels majestic. The tall pyramid under the night sky had an entrance glowing with golden lights. However, if I wanted to enter I’d have to go through the base game first.
The base game consists of 5 reels, 3 rows, and 10 paylines, with medium volatility. This setup did not make landing symbol combinations easy. Most of my wins from matching symbols were under 1.4x my bet and could take up to six or even ten spins to hit. Despite these challenges, my bankroll stayed steady thanks to the expanding wilds feature.
The expanding wild pharaoh can appear at any moment and cover an entire reel, making it easier to form winning combinations. It also awards a respin, which can lead to even bigger wins. With just one wild reel, I was getting returns between 5.6x to 7.3x, and the respins could bring in up to 13.6x. If one wild reel was this good, two wild reels were even better. I managed to land two wild reels a few times, earning up to 26.2x wins.
Random jackpots were also a frequent sight throughout my session as I managed to get into the pyramid by randomly getting the diamond symbol above regular paying symbols. Once triggered, I got to spin a wheel and get the mini jackpot worth 15x my bet thrice and even a lucky minor jackpot worth 50x my bet once.
There is no traditional bonus game here, but in my opinion, the King of Alexandria slot doesn’t need one. The frequent respins with sticky wild reels provide just as much excitement and are much more noticeable. The jackpots are also substantial, reaching up to 2,500x your bet. With stunning visuals and impressive wins, this slot gets my full approval.
PROS - Stunning design with detailed animations
- Expanding wild reels with respins
- Four different jackpots up to 2,500x your bet
- Easy to get into the jackpot wheel game
CONS - Only 10 paylines make forming symbol combos hard
Coco Loco Cash
This slot works well for casual sessions. The RTP feels stable and volatility stays manageable. I didn’t hit anything huge, but a few 8x–15x wins kept things moving. Jackpot feature is fun, even if the top prize is limited.
King of Alexandria Mega Moolah
The Mega Moolah jackpot is a draw, but the RTP is disappointing. While the expanding wilds are fun and the respins can help, you’ll need a lot of patience to see real payouts. If you don’t mind the low RTP, the jackpot potential could be worth it.
Coco Loco Cash
played this one for a few sessions and it feels solid overall. bonus spins land often enough, got the 10x hit once and a few small cash collects. didn’t get rich but balance stayed healthy, good slot for steady play.
Money Mayweather
Got into the bonus with a x10 base multiplier, which sounded promising, but the actual payout was just okay. Nice design, but it’s hard to get excited when it feels like Gates of Olympus in a different suit.
Money Mayweather
I wasn’t expecting much, but ended up pulling 214 on a single bonus, best result I’ve had on this so far. The multiplier helped, but it’s rare to line it all up right. still think the game plays mid most of the time, but this round felt decent.
King of Alexandria Mega Moolah
The expanding wilds are a nice touch, especially when they trigger respins, but honestly, I expected more from the RTP. An 86% return isn’t great, especially for a jackpot game. Still, if you like the Mega Moolah jackpots, it's worth a try.
