Get ready for a temple raid of Godbreaker by Yggdrasil. This Aztec-themed slot puts out a five-reel four-row grid across 7,776 ways, with eye-catching skull masks, stacked golden goddesses, and three collector pots above the reels that decide when you get into free spins.

In my playthrough, the glows came in slowly, pots barely filled, and the base game paid in the 0.5x to 5x range with an occasional wild multiplier pairing for a bit more. And that’s every 10 spins on average.

After giving it some time, around 30 spins, I decided to explore the Elevate menu. It has four tiers, starting from Free Spins Hunt, which costs 3x the bet and just increases the odds of triggering a round. Three spins in, and with perfect accuracy, the board lit up with hits of 21x, 25x, and nearly 5x my bet. Just to be clear, it was not from free spins, just base game hits that happened to land while the boost was running.

The next one on my radar was the Collector Pot Boost at 30x the play bet. One red pot opened, guaranteed eight free spins, and the red feature started pushing more gold masks onto the reels. Every four glowing masks that land upgrade a tier of colored skulls into gold ones, which sounds like it should snowball, but the round closed at just 7.75x my bet.

Super Pot at 50x opened two pots, red and blue, and the grid stretched to six rows with gold masks all over it. Twelve spins of that, symbols upgrading mid-round, 68x total. It was practically just enough to cover what I spent getting in, and I didn’t even want to bother with the Grand Pot for 300x the wager, even though it activates all three pots at once.

Overall, the Elevate menu carried my entire session, and that is the problem. Nothing happened on its own, so there’s not an honest engagement when you have to pay to trigger something.
