Despite being a fruit-themed slot, the design of Royal 40 Fruits is anything but ordinary. Its gold-framed 4x5 grid stands against a deep emerald background and a cool soundtrack follows the gameplay.

The 40 paylines could take up to 7 to 10 spins to match fruit combinations, but the prizes are quite impressive. My payouts were rarely less than 1x and sometimes got as high as 10x with the regular fruit symbols. When the star wilds came into play, I landed prizes as high as 50x.

The crown symbols were the star of the show as they do not need to form combos to reward you with payouts. Nine crowns will earn you 15x and covering the whole grid with 20 crowns awards the maximum 3000x. During my session, I got to land up to 11 crowns on a spin and earned 45x.

Sadly, Royal 40 Fruits feels incomplete to me due to its lack of features like free spins and multipliers. The big payouts of its symbols make it unique though, especially the crown symbols that do not need to match on paylines.
