Dreamwood: This Quirky Fantasy Slot Has Decent Win Potential

Dreamwood is a fantasy-themed slot that seems to be based on Robin Hood. A skilled archer appears as one of the top-paying symbols and there’s a rather curious animated tree at the side of the grid.

The gameplay was quite good thanks to frequent high payouts and a few decent features. These include cash prize collection, which triggered a few times, and respins, which I got to play once.

I decided to buy the respin round for the cost of 100x my bet. Of course, I was hoping to break even or maybe even make a profit on my purchase. Unfortunately, I only ended up winning 12x my bet, which was a disappointment.

Having said that, I liked the way the round worked. It used a large grid where each row had a multiplier. Arrows pushed cash prizes up, and the higher a prize was, the bigger the multiplier it gained.

As for the cash prize collection feature, this occurred in the base game. I landed the collect symbol on reel 1, cash prizes on reels 2-4, and a 5x multiplier on reel 5 to win a total of 45x my bet.

My other base game payouts were 25x and 20x my bet, though these were from standard payline wins. I was pleased with all of these wins, though they weren’t enough to make me a profit. Even though I didn’t make money, I’d still recommend playing Dreamwood.

This is because the slot has enough features to make it worthwhile. The cash collection feature can lead to some high base game wins. Even though I didn’t win much from the hold and win respin round, it has the potential to be rewarding if you’re lucky.
