Book of Dead GO Collect: Conduct an Archaeological Survey In the Pyramids for 10,000x Wins

Play’n GO brings Rich Wilde back into the desert with Book of Dead GO Collect, this time adding a Hold and Win layer on top of the familiar grid. With a 10,000x max win sitting at the top, I had enough reason to give this new version a proper run and see if the extra mechanics actually move the needle.

This is the five-reel, three-row setup with 10 paylines, dressed up in an Egyptian theme. On the reels, you get the Pharaoh, Anubis, Horus, and card symbols. RTP is set at 96.2% with high volatility, so going in, I already knew patience would be part of the deal.

During my visit to the Nile basin, base-game wins were landing roughly every six to seven spins. My average return hovered between 4x and 5x my bet. The base game is active, with smaller payouts, but it does not exactly carry the session on its own. 

I did see a few stronger bumps around 10x and 18x returns at times with wilds and higher-paying symbols. However, they were one-offs that didn’t offset my overall losses. 

Free Spins showed up quicker than I expected. I triggered the feature after just 20 spins or so and received the standard 10 free spins. That round paid 121x my bet, and it ended up being the highlight of my entire run.

The new Treasure Vault Hold and Win ties into collecting gold staters. I managed to trigger it once, and it returned 15x my bet. Not gonna lie, it is a nice extra layer, but I felt it’s more like background support than something that can drive the whole game, unless you manage to land one of the jackpots.

After the vault, I tested the gamble feature of Book of Dead, even though I usually keep my distance from it. This time, it worked in my favor and pushed one of my wins up to 58x returns. Still, I would treat that button with caution. It can just as easily wipe out the win you just earned.
