Lots of online slot games draw inspiration from ancient civilizations. What I liked about Legion Gold Unleashed when I started playing was that it shifts the focus onto animals. It’s themed to the ancient Romans but instead of seeing soldiers and citizens, which is what you’d expect, it’s animals that appear on the reels. In keeping with the theme, they’re all kitted out in some kind of armour, ready for war.

What I also like about Legion Gold Unleashed is that it has some pretty good features. There’s a respin feature, a free spins round and a special symbol that collects all prizes on coins. I got to play the Gold Re-Spin feature a few times and it was always quite lucrative - one time, I won 50x my bet from it, which was great. 

I also got to play the Mega Free Spins round, which comes with an extra large 3x3 symbol. This special symbol moves with every spin and can help you bring home some decent wins. In the end, I managed to win about 25x my bet, so I can’t complain.

The gameplay was engaging enough, and I thoroughly enjoyed playing the slot. Wilds, scatters and coins landed quite frequently and I was satisfied with how many features I got to play during my gaming session.

As for the design, it’s also very good. The images and video animations are well-developed, and the soundtrack is suitably dramatic. 

All in all, Legion Gold Unleashed is a solid addition to Play’n GO’s line-up, and it’s a slot I strongly recommend you play. There’s also the original Legion Gold, but the one that I’m reviewing here is better: it has a higher RTP of 96.25%, a bigger max win of 3,000x, and it has the coin collection feature that the original doesn’t.
