Mystical snakes, golden scarabs, and fierce alligators roam the Oasis of the Dead in Play n Go’s latest release. Exploring the underworld is no walk in the park, but the potential rewards make it worth the journey, with free spins featuring expanding symbols, a gamble mini-game, and symbol pays up to 500x. Let me explain why this game is one to keep on your radar!

I was really enjoying Play n Go’s take on the Egyptian underworld, set on a 5-reel, 3-row grid. The symbols, adorned with golden accents, give the slot a premium feel. Keeping things straightforward, these symbols are spread across 10 paylines, a classic setup seen in many games. Landing matching symbols got me between 0.50x to 3x returns every 3 to 5 spins.

Even though I didn’t find it necessary, the slot also brings a gamble mini-game which can be opted into after landing a win. The card game gives you the option to double your rewards by predicting the color of an upside-down card or quadruple it by predicting its suit. I found that lower wins under 1x my bet had a decent chance to get buffed by this feature so I used it occasionally.

The highlight of this slot is definitely the free spins bonus game, which is tough to trigger but offers incredible potential for big wins. It takes 3 or more scatters to activate and grants you one special symbol that expands to cover an entire reel. The first time I triggered it, I got 8 spins with the cobra as my expanding symbol, and a few spins later, I landed 3 extra scatters, earning an additional 8 spins.

With the expanding symbols filling 2 to 3 reels on each spin, I scored an enormous 152.50x win from the round. This big win not only helped me recover the minor losses from the base game but also left me with a nice profit. If you are looking for a short and sweet game with solid profit potential, I would definitely recommend giving Oasis of the Dead a spin!
