Midas Wins Didn't Turn Everything to Gold

I gave Midas Wins a good 70 minutes of my time, hoping the golden visuals would translate into solid wins. But honestly, the longer I played, the more I felt like the game promised more than it could deliver.

Everything feels rich and thematic. The animations are smooth, and even the spinning transitions have a polished finish.

The slot doesn’t follow a traditional line-based payout. Instead, you win by hitting clusters of six or more symbols. It's a system I usually enjoy, but here, the clusters didn’t show up often enough to keep me excited.

The big feature is the Coin Collection mechanic. Golden coins can appear at random and add their value to a meter. If you fill it up, you unlock Free Spins with multipliers. Sounds good on paper. But in my experience, filling that meter took forever. Even when I managed to trigger Free Spins, the results weren’t exactly thrilling, the highest win I pulled during the bonus was just 18x my stake.

Free Spins come with progressive multipliers, which should make the mode exciting. But unless you trigger retriggers quickly, those higher multipliers barely get a chance to shine. I found myself staring at the screen, waiting for some momentum to kick in, but it never really did.

The soundtrack fits the regal theme but becomes dull after a while. There's no build-up during wins or bonus triggers, just the same loop over and over. It doesn’t match the dramatic gold-and-glory theme the visuals aim for.
