Wild Nords is set in the snowy Nordic countries, at a time when Vikings conquered large parts of Europe. Throughout the game, snowflakes will be falling through the reels. The reels lie on what appears to be an entrance to a traditional Nordic building. Stone and wood are used to make the pillars of the building, and they have beautiful engraving. I also liked the traditional Scandinavian tune playing in the background. 

So, which features did I like in Wild Nords? The first is the wild symbol, which is represented by three different characters. Each one is associated with a specific totem animal. Whenever these symbols land on the reels, they turn a number of icons wild. In addition, the wild symbols will stay locked during the re-spin. And that’s not all. Any new wild or totem animal symbols that land on the reels in subsequent spins will trigger a respin. I was able to score sizable rewards with this feature. 

At other times, the heroes of the game will make a dramatic appearance on the side of the reels and turn symbols wild. Again, this triggers re-spins. 

The animals themselves also helped me make winning combinations. They appear on the screen and make a sound, instantly transforming a number of icons to a symbol matching the totem animal. This led to generous prize payouts. 

My only issue with this game is that it doesn’t have a free spins feature. This limits the size of your potential winnings. Similarly, it doesn’t have a bonus game. 

In summary, I liked the immersive design of this slot machine. It presents the Nordic theme in a captivating manner, and the artwork is quite sharp. The game has many lucrative features, all of which center on the wild. My only issue with this slot is that it lacks a bonus game or free spins.
