Gone to the Dogs is an online slot themed to greyhound racing. I was interested to see what it would be like, though when it loaded, I wasn’t too impressed. The design was quite basic with rather dated graphics, and none of the symbols matched the theme except the wild, which I thought was odd. The soundtrack consisted of noise and sounds from a typical greyhound race, which fitted the theme. 

When I started playing Gone to the Dogs, I got plenty of small wins that were less than my bet or a few times greater than it. To my pleasant surprise, the free spins round triggered not once, but three times. On the one hand, it was good that the round had expanding wilds; on the other hand, the round only lasted five spins, which I didn’t think was enough. Even so, I managed to win 28x, 10x, and 8x from the three free spins rounds I played, which I can’t complain about. There were several other spins where the free spins round came close to triggering, too.

Having played Gone to the Dogs, I have to say it was a decent slot, though not memorable. Most free spins rounds last longer than just five spins, and the design wasn’t eye-catching or immersive in any way. I was glad I got to play the slot and see its special feature in action several times, but it’s far from my favourite. I’d still recommend it if you’re after a basic game with low volatility and a free spins round that can give your balance a little boost.
