The six reels carry Odin, valkyries, and helmeted warriors across three rows with the Tree of Life book doing scatter and wild work in the middle of it all. Ten paylines run across the grid, and the whole thing tops out at 10,000x your bet.

My session opened on the slow side. Wins hit every three to ten spins, mostly around 1x my bet or lower, and the brighter moments stretched up to 4x returns.

The book is the whole story here. It's both the wild and the scatter, paying on its own for two or more, with six of them capping out at 500x the bet. At least three of them open a round with 10 free spins. The mechanic there is the one most of you already know from the Book-of family.

Before the round starts, the game picks a random symbol and turns it into the expanding one for that spin, and if it lands on enough reels, it stretches across the full row to count as a payline.

Took me around 100 spins to trigger, and when it finally hit, the random expanding symbol turned out to be the skull-edged J. It started lighting up the reels one by one, three of them, then four, then the re-trigger landed in the middle of it and bought me ten more spins.

The grid was lit in gold edges from end to end. The bonus closed at 157x my bet, which lifted my balance back into the green and a tiny bit more.

Overall, this is a solid Norse entry which had a fair payout for the session, but not much it brings that the series hasn't already shown across the previous five chapters.
