In practice, I was waiting anywhere between 6 and 10 spins for a win, with the occasional dry spell stretching beyond 15 spins. Thankfully, the payouts were respectable enough, usually returning 1x to 4x my bet, while five revolvers once landed for a tidy 16x payout.

The Hold & Hit mechanics were far more generous than the regular symbols. I was constantly seeing Bonus Coins land, and on one occasion, the Bonus Blast randomly added both a Collect symbol and another Bonus Coin to force the feature to trigger.

The Hold & Hit bonus begins with three respins, and every new Bonus Coin resets the counter back to three. Unlike many Hold & Hit games, the coins don't stay sticky, leaving all six positions on the two outer reels free to keep landing fresh Bonus Coins throughout the feature. During my session, I regularly picked up 1x to 5x coin values, and although nothing spectacular landed, they steadily built into a respectable 58x payout.

The Desperado Drifter Hold & Hit 3x3 doesn't try to reinvent Spinomenal's formula, but the random Bonus Blast at least keeps the base game from becoming a complete waiting simulator.
