Fruity Lux: Looks Good, But Could Be Much Better

Fruity Lux from SYNOT Games is one of many online slots to strip everything back and focus on basic gameplay. It doesn’t have any special features, so no free spins, respins, pick-me games, or anything like that. Instead, it’s all about the base game, in which you spin the reels and hope to land winning combinations on one of the five paylines.

When the slot was loaded, I must admit I liked the look of it. The fruit symbols were designed to  look like jewels, which I thought was a nice touch. The soundtrack was pretty good too; it was easy to listen to and not too distracting.

During my playthrough, I won 10x my bet a total of five times thanks to various symbols appearing, with wilds helping me out every so often. My biggest win was 30x, which I was pleased with. The slot had two optional gamble features, though I didn’t take advantage of these because for me, playing a slot is enough of a gamble. After playing Fruity Lux, I lost money; if I had tried either of the gamble features, chances are I would have lost even more.

In my honest opinion, the Fruity Lux slot was boring. Yes, there were wilds and scatters, which were better than nothing. But even with these, the gameplay wasn’t exciting enough for me. There were no bonus rounds of any kind to look forward to. The fact that there were just five paylines also made me dislike the slot. I know lots of classic slots have a low number of ways to win, but even just doubling the number to 10 might have made a difference.

If you prefer simple games, you might enjoy playing the Fruity Lux slot. Just don’t expect a lot from it.
