Abyss of Glory: Cascading Multipliers and a 10,000x Win Potential That Stayed Hidden

It's not easy, but TrueLab's Abyss of Glory doesn't do much to stand out from the crowd of Greek mythology-themed slots. The usual lineup is there, with Zeus, minotaurs, demons, and warriors with spears. 

But somehow, the design feels rushed, as if someone assembled assets from three different projects and called it a day. On the other hand, with 10,000x max win and 96.13% RTP on paper, I expected the gameplay to carry what the visuals couldn't.

The 5-reel grid runs 243 ways with medium-high volatility and cascading wins. Every spin, one random symbol on each reel gets framed, and if that symbol lands in a winning combination, the reel's multiplier climbs by x1. These multipliers stack, too, so x2 on one reel and x3 on another gives you x6 on your win. 

Sounds promising until you realize they reset after each spin in the base game. My session's highlight was a nice surprise, but the fact that it gave me so much hope, as mediocre as it was, speaks for itself. What more can I say? 

When the cascade chain finally got going, it pushed three reels to x2 each, and a wild completed a Zeus line. All of that for 22x my stake. Decent hit, but after everything before it, barely made a dent.

And it didn't have much of a session to save either. Most spins paid between 0.1x and 1.2x my stake, balance shrinking with almost every click. Swords and horns connected constantly but paid next to nothing. Zeus showed up twice across 80 spins. Cascades rarely went past two drops.

Three scatters trigger eight free spins where multipliers stop resetting, with a guaranteed wild every spin. I never got there. There's also a Buy Feature at 100x, or God Mode at 300x, starting each reel at x2. Paying that much for a slot that gave me so little? Felt like one more bad decision pushing me deeper into the abyss.

Overall, the Greek themes are always welcome, but have to be distinctive. On the contrary, I had to cope with underwhelming visuals and a multiplier system that never showed what it could do.
