Rings of Olympus: Where Strategy Shines but the Gods Don't

Join Apollo, Artemis, and Zeus in their quest for riches, but watch out for Hades!
Rings of Olympus is a progression-based game that introduces mechanics that reward timing and decision-making. Each God that lands after a spin adds a segment to their respective ring, which contributes to a multiplier.
When the rings of Apollo and Artemis are completed, you are awarded a payout and the game continues. Progress doesn’t fully reset, leaving you one symbol away from closing the ring again.
I found this to be quite a solid tactic, especially in the case of Apollo, since he only needs to land 4 times to trigger the x7 payout. While spinning for Artemis’ 20x or Zeus’ Bonus, Apollo helps keep a steady trickle of credits in your balance.
You can also apply this tactic to Vortex, another title from Turbo Games, which is more or less a copy of Rings of Olympus.
A Feather might also land, though it doesn’t have an impact on your progress or winnings for that matter. It’s the only symbol in the game that does nothing.
I inevitably got into a tussle with Hades as he kept taking back ring sections. Whenever he landed instead of one of the Gods, one section from each ring was removed.
I kept placing bets for quite a while before realizing that no payout was coming my way. So what happened? I had to cash out manually.
This is where strategy really matters. If you’ve filled three or more segments, you can choose a partial cashout.
While the payout is lower than a full cashout, it comes with a key advantage: only the most recent segment in each ring is removed, so most of your progress stays intact. It’s essentially what happens when Hades lands, but there is an actual benefit to it.
I was a bit let down by the Bonus round, after a few hours of gameplay I barely came close to triggering it. No matter how much I held on cashing out, after a few payouts from Apollo and Artemis I’d get Hades a few times in a row and be back to the start.
Now, to be fair, at first I mistook Apollo and Artemis for Hercules and Megara, as their character designs closely resemble those from a well-known animated movie. Hades’ appearance only reinforced my doubts. It was only after I read the game info tab that I discovered which Demigods they represent.

Good for players who like strategy
This slot rewards patience more than most. I found myself planning when to use the Part PayOut feature a lot. Hades kept things tense, but that added to the strategy. Not too flashy, but engaging.

Had a fun time and got some good wins
I like the circles thing, it's different. Hades is still annoying sometimes, but I managed a 35x win after filling two rings. Not massive, but felt earned. Better than most vortex games tbh.
