Red Dog Poker by Urgent Games: All Barks, No Bites!

Red Dog Poker by Urgent Games, huh? Well, let me tell you, it's not exactly a game that's gonna blow your socks off. I mean, it's got some serious low points that make it hard to get excited about.
First off, let's talk about the graphics. They're about as basic as it gets. I mean, we're in 2023, and this game looks like it's stuck in the early 2000s. The cards are bland, and the table looks like it was designed by an amateur. There's no attention to detail or any effort to make it visually appealing. It's just plain boring to look at.
The sounds are no better. I don't know who came up with the sound effects, but they're annoying at best. The card shuffling and dealing sound like someone's tapping on a tin can. The music? What music? This game has no background music whatsoever! The whole sound department adds nothing to the gaming experience and, in fact, takes away from it.
Now, let's get into the rules and features. Red Dog Poker is a simple game, but that's not an excuse for the lack of options and features. You place your bet, and two cards are dealt face up. Then, you decide whether the next card's value will fall between the two cards you were dealt. That's it. There's no strategy involved, and it gets repetitive real fast.
There are no additional game modes, no multiplayer option, and no way to customise your experience. It's a one-trick pony with no bells or whistles. I mean, come on, it's 2023, and we expect more from a video poker game.
In conclusion, for me at least, Red Dog Poker by Urgent Games is a real letdown. The graphics and sounds are lackluster, making it hard to enjoy visually or audibly. The gameplay is repetitive and lacks depth, and there are no extra features to make it more engaging. You'd be better off looking elsewhere for your gaming fix.
- Fast pace gameplay
- Dated graphics and animations
- Annoying sounds
- No Gamble feature
- No extra side bets
