At first, I thought Magic Fruits Cherries was going to be yet another fruit-themed slot with familiar features and mechanics. To my surprise, I was wrong. When I started playing it, I was pleased to see it worked differently from most other online slots.

The main way of winning was by playing the Hold the Jackpot respin round. To trigger this, I needed to land symbols on the central 2x2 section of the slot’s 4x4 grid. I managed to do this three times during my playthrough.

My payouts from Hold the Jackpot were 42x, 33x, and 13x my bet, which I was pleased with. When the round started, the four triggering symbols were held in place. I then started with three spins and all symbols, including the four in the middle, were sticky.

As well as cash prize symbols, collectors and mystery symbols could appear. I liked the way the round worked and was glad it triggered as often as it did. A few more playthroughs would have been great, but then again, I can’t complain about getting to play the round three times.

I should point out that I also won a few small payouts from the Cash Out symbol during the base game. When this landed, it stayed in place for 15 spins. It then paid a random cash prize and paid all the prizes of all other symbols in the same column.

On the whole, I liked Magic Fruits Cherries and appreciated that Wazdan was trying a different approach to online slots. The only negative thing to say is that when playing the slot, you might have to go a large number of spins before getting a payout.
