Captains of the Coast 2: A Swashbuckling Slot Offering Both Respins and Free Spins

Developed by Wizard Games is Captains of the Coast 2, a pirate-themed online slot that’s set on a ship on the high seas and comes with a few special features. These include respins with a sticky expanding wild and a free spins round where wilds are stacked and there can be as many as four on the reels at once. 

I enjoyed playing Captains of the Coast 2, though my only criticism is that it can be hard to trigger the features, especially the free spins round. The slot started with locked frames covering five random positions. Each wild would add a frame to its position, and once a reel was full of frames, the repsin feature would trigger. This only happened once during my playthrough and I won just 2x from it, which I wasn’t too pleased with.

Then there was the free spins round, which looked promising and should have been a lot of fun to play. Unfortunately, I never managed to land enough scatters to trigger it. The scatter symbol did appear quite often; I just never had three or more on the same spin.

As for my wins, they were mostly small. I did, however, manage to win just over 28x my bet not once, but twice. These were decent wins that were unexpected but very welcome.

Having played Captains of the Coast 2, I would suggest giving it a spin or two, especially if you like pirate-themed games. The features are good and there are 1,024 ways to win, which should help you earn some rewarding payouts if you’re lucky. Hopefully you’ll have better luck than me at triggering the free spins round!
