Book of AfricRa: Very Hard to Win from This Mystical Slot

Book of AfricRa is one of many online slots based around a book. It has an African theme and focuses on four gods, each of which is represented as an animal. The slot’s graphics and animations are excellent, and there’s a lot of attention to detail in the visuals.

The theming is on point, but the same can’t be said for the gameplay. When I played Book of AfricRa, I didn’t have much luck at all. There were a few base game wins that were on the small side. The largest amount I won was 10x.

Then there was the free spins round, which I decided to buy for the cost of 85x my bet. This came with a special expanding symbol, the low-paying Q. Early on in the round, I got another special expanding symbol. This time it was the A.

As in other ‘book’ slots, whenever the chosen symbol appeared, it would expand to fill the reel if doing so helped create a win. The symbol also didn’t need to be on adjacent reels for me to win with it.

I got some decent wins from both the Q and A symbols during the free spins round. By the time it was over, I’d made 65x my bet. This wasn’t enough for me to break even, but it could have been a much smaller cash prize.

While I was impressed by the appearance of the slot and the amount of work that had gone into creating it, the lack of big wins meant I can’t give it a top rating. Still, I’d rate it quite highly because I enjoyed the game and thought it had the potential to be great.
