5K Gold Mine: Will You Win Any Track Prizes?

When 5K Gold Mine loaded, I was intrigued by the slot’s trail feature and thought it was a great addition to the gameplay. Surrounding the entire grid was a track with various prizes on it. Landing the mine cart symbol could move a mine cart along the track and collect prizes.

These included cash payouts of various sizes and the free spins round. The mine cart symbol could also give out cash prizes of its own and reset the mine cart’s progress to the starting position.

During my playthrough of 5K Gold Mine, the mine cart symbol appeared quite often. I didn’t manage to win any of the trail prizes during the base game, though the mine cart did give me a few small payouts.

Then there was the free spins round, where every time the mine cart moved along the track, it was guaranteed to collect whatever prize it landed on. I paid 100x my bet to play this feature, hoping to win big.

Unfortunately, my gamble didn’t pay off, as I won around 34x, which was only a third of what I’d paid to play the round. This was disappointing, but it could have been a lot worse. I won one payout (7x) from the mine cart in total.

Going back to the base game, I earned a few decent payouts of 6x and 9x; the biggest one was 16x. Overall, I made a loss thanks to the paid free spins round not being that rewarding. 

It’s always great to come across slots that do something different. I really liked the track feature and thought it matched the mining theme well. I just wish I’d been able to benefit from it more. Still, I’d certainly suggest giving 5K Gold Mine a spin or two.
