Stacked wilds, a variety of scatters, and two different bonus features can be found in the colorful reels of Golden Yang by Ainsworth. I was super impressed with the attention to detail when it came to the design and visuals of the game, but let’s find out if the gameplay stacks up. 

The game is played on a 5x3 grid connected by 100 paylines meaning wins are never too far away. At most, it took me 3 to 5 spins to land a winning combination and get me between 0.35x to 1.30x wins. Surprisingly, the low symbol pays don’t make the game highly unprofitable because of the stacked wilds feature. 

Stacked wilds drop very frequently on the reels to get you bigger wins and from my experience, you can even see two reels full of stacked wilds to give you between 3x to 7x returns. Although a neat feature to have, you won’t make serious profits with them. For that, we must move on to the two features I mentioned above! 

The first and easiest feature to trigger is the common free spins mini-game. To start it, you need 3 or more scatters on the reels, and with the spins comes increased chances of landing higher paying symbols, the ability to get an extra 3 spins for landing 3 scatters, and transform an entire reel into wild symbols if you land just one. 

The wins I made using just 8 free spins gave me between 15x to 26x returns and carried me throughout the game even surpassing the Money Up feature which is triggered by landing multiplier scatters.
