I didn’t actually get to play the round naturally. Instead, I bought it twice for the cost of 84x each time so I could see what the two versions were like. One had sticky wilds and the other had roaming wilds.

The first one I went for was the sticky wilds option, which gave me a return of just 16x my bet. The second one, roaming wilds, was more lucrative, giving me a final payout of 50x. This was still quite a way off the initial cost, but at least it was better than my win from the first option. 

Even though I made a loss from buying the free spins round twice, I liked the fact that it had two versions. They were similar in that they both had 2x multiplier wilds, though where they differed was in how the wilds acted.
