Wolves & Coins is an interesting slot. For starters, it looks like a typical online slot respin round as it has 15 individually spinning reels in a 5x3 arrangement with various coins appearing, along with wolves and blanks.

Then there’s the fact that the slot has two separate respin rounds. Each of these is triggered by landing six or more symbols of a certain type (coins or wolves). I should point out that the base game has hardly anything going for it. 

Of all the symbols, only the wolf one can give payouts for landing on a payline, and this can only happen in the Wolf bonus game. Therefore, all of my wins from Wolves & Coins came from the two respin features.

I got to play the Wolf bonus game first and won 18x my bet from it. This respin round had only wolves appearing on the reels: there were standard ones as well as sticky wolves, three jackpot prize wolves and a mystery wolf. 

Later on, I decided to buy the other respin round, the Coin bonus game, for a cost of 40x. This was taking a risk, but fortunately it paid off, as I ended up winning 56x, which was a nice, healthy profit. 

Not long after I finished playing the Coin bonus game, it triggered on its own. This time round, my payout was a decent 42x my bet. I ended up with a loss, but it wasn’t as great as I thought it was going to be.

Overall, I appreciated that Wolves & Coins was trying to do something different. The only problem is that winning is restricted to the respin rounds. Though they can be rewarding, you can end up going a large number of base game spins without getting close to earning a payout.
