Hunt the Bucks: Track Wild Animals and Cash Symbols for up to 5,000x Wins

Hunting games usually promise patience and a big trophy at the end, but Hunt the Bucks had me spending more time staring at empty reels than tracking deer through the woods. Belatra brought up to 500x cash rewards, a progressive free spins bonus, and up to 5,000x wins, and I didn’t see any of it in my session. Here’s how.

The game plays on a 5x4 grid with 20 paylines, with regular symbols paying between 0.20x and 100x your bet. During my session, I quickly noticed that symbols love landing in full stacks across entire reels, making it look like huge combinations are about to form. The problem is that the second reel almost always seemed determined to ruin the party. As a result, I often waited five to six spins for a payout that rarely climbed beyond 0.60x to 2x my stake.

Eventually, I landed three Scatter symbols to trigger 10 Free Spins. The bonus follows a progression system that feels similar to the Big Bass series, except the first few Hunter Wilds simply collect cash prizes while later collections unlock extra spins and multipliers instead of requiring another full set of four every time.

Unfortunately, those Hunter symbols proved far rarer than I expected. I only saw one appear during the entire feature, collecting a decent pile of Animal cash symbols before the remaining spins dissolved into dead space. The feature ended with a disappointing 19.75x payout, hardly enough to justify the wait.

I wanted to like Hunt the Bucks, especially with its solid RTP and the progressive bonus game. The setup isn’t very far from other games where you wait out the base game only to make big wins in the bonus and recover your bankroll, and hopefully make a profit with cash prizes. The problem is, this same setup has been chugging along since 2019, and Belatra hasn't done anything interesting here.
