Jackpot Pagoda: Worth Playing, If Only for the Respin Round

Jackpot Pagoda is a pleasant Asian-themed slot whose reels are set within a pagoda. The background image shows a lovely mountain landscape at sunrise, and accompanying it is a pleasant piece of music. Overall, the slot’s design is pretty good.

The gameplay was enjoyable. During the base game, I won a few small payouts every now and then, along with a few bigger wins of 12x and even 35x. Wilds appeared quite often and contributed to some of my wins.

My biggest haul came from the Hold and Win respin round. This triggered naturally when I landed three coins on the slot’s middle reel. Respin features are very common in slots, but this one worked in a way I’ve never seen before.

I started on the slot’s usual grid, which had a 1x multiplier. After filling all nine positions with symbols, I then moved up to a second grid with a 2x multiplier. There were three more grids (3x, 10x, and jackpots), but I didn’t reach these, unfortunately.

This was because I ran out of respins before filling the second grid with coins. My winnings from the first grid had the 1x multiplier applied to them; my second grid winnings were doubled by the 2x multiplier.

Thanks to this, I ended up with a win of 70x, which I was really pleased with. I liked how the round worked and thought it was a fresh take on the respin feature. One thing about the slot that could have been improved was the number of paylines.

Even though I earned a few big payouts in the base game, having just a few more paylines could have helped prevent me from ending my playthrough with a loss. Still, I’d suggest giving Jackpot Pagoda a go, if only to play Hold and Win and try to make it to the jackpots.
