3 Wonders Phoenix is a nicely designed slot from Boomerang Studios with a Chinese theme. The reels are set in a pagoda building with three icons on top, each representing a different free spins enhancer.

When I played 3 Wonders Phoenix, I was hoping to trigger both the special features. As well as the free spins round, the slot also had a respin feature. This actually came into play on its own and earned me a decent payout of 24x.

It was a standard respin round where cash prize symbols or blanks landed. Every time a respin produced at least one new symbol, the number of respins would then reset to three. There was also the collector symbol that collected and paid all cash prizes in view.

Half of my final payout from the round came from a collector symbol landing, so I was pleased the respin round had this symbol. As for the free spins round, I decided to buy this for the cost of 80x my bet.

It came with a selection of one to three enhancers. When I bought a playthrough of the round, I got two enhancers: Contagious Wilds, where wilds could spread, and Win Multiplier, which gave each spin a random multiplier.

I was hoping to make a lot of money, but my winnings from the round were just 26x my bet. This was disappointing since it was a hefty loss and there were two out of three enhancers active. I dread to think how much I would have won if there’s only been one enhancer.

Overall, I thought 3 Wonders Phoenix was a pretty good slot. It had a great list of features, and the free spins round had a lot of variety. If you play the slot, I suggest thinking carefully about buying free spins, based on my experience of doing the same.
