BP Games Blackjack: Take On the Dealer With Five Hands at Once

I have always seen blackjack as a tug of war between strategy and greed, and BP Games' Blackjack gave me five different hands to test both at once. Sitting at a teal-blue table, I tested my luck at landing 21 for more than 200 hands, and here's how it went.

Unlike slots, there are no reels, paylines, or bonus rounds here. You can play five hands at the same time, for bets ranging from 20 to 500. Your only job is to finish closer to 21 without going bust, while the dealer must hit on 16 or lower and stand on 17.

I had all five hands running together, and winning 2 or 3 out of five was enough to keep me in the game. However, the slow gameplay made every round longer than I would have liked. Playing all five hands also means putting much more money on the table, so I had to keep my bets under control.

For me, stopping around 18 or 19 worked reasonably well, since the dealer was forced to stand on 17. With this approach, I was managing to win 2 to 3 hands out of five quite regularly. However, it's far from a foolproof plan, so try to come up with your own strategy rather than blindly following mine.

A natural blackjack with your first two cards pays 1.5x your bet in profit. Insurance is also available whenever the dealer shows an Ace, paying 2:1 if the dealer has blackjack. I used insurance whenever I could, as I became the dealer's victim quite a few times without it.

My main complaint was the pace. This game gets very slow, especially when you're waiting for every hand and the dealer's actions to finish before moving on to the next round.

After encountering countless blackjack games over the years, I found that BP Games Blackjack doesn't bring anything revolutionary to the table. But if you enjoy controlling multiple hands, sitting at the table and strategising rather than relying purely on luck in a slot, it gets the basic job done.
