Creature of Mythology: Open Up Ancient Scrolls and Hunt Legendary Beasts for Up to 1,000x Rewards

BP Games and their fascination with ancient mythical creatures show no signs of slowing down, and Creature of Mythology is the latest example of that. This scratch is modeled after a 3x3 slot on an ancient scroll filled with illustrations of legendary beasts, with a 1,000x max win.

As soon as I entered the game, I couldn’t ignore its oil-painting visuals. The scroll showcases ancient turtles, sabertooths, horses, and fiery phoenixes, giving it a distinct Asian mythology-inspired feel. Alongside these creatures, regular symbols are also present on the grid, and landing three matching symbols anywhere awards you a payout.

As in my case, I was landing wins every 6 to 7 spins, with average returns ranging between 0.80x and 1.50x my bet. More often than not, my bankroll was taking hits rather than making progress. I believe the addition of a gamble feature or multipliers could have provided a little relief, but there was nothing of the sort.

Just when my frustration was beginning to settle in, I finally landed three sabertooth symbols, rewarding me with a 50x return. Unfortunately, since there are no bonus rounds or free spins, that single win wasn't enough to justify spending more than 150 spins.

Creature of Mythology has all of its win potential locked inside the base game. The problem is that during my playthrough, that potential never truly came to light. Here, the presentation and artwork are genuinely appealing, but the payouts left me disheartened. If I were looking for frequent payouts or strong bonus features, certainly Creature of Mythology isn’t the one I’d come to.
