Royal Tumble is an online slot from DragonGaming that sounds good on paper and is quite enjoyable. It has 1,024 ways to win, cascades, and a special feature where getting enough consecutive wins turns high-paying royal symbols wild for the current turn. 

Thanks to these, the gameplay was great. There was enough going on to keep me entertained and to encourage me to carry on playing. Even though the slot had a lot of promise, the payouts that I earned during my playthrough weren’t that great. 

Most of my base game wins were small, though having said that, there was one spin where I managed to turn three of the four face card symbols wild. During this sequence of wins, I won a decent amount of money, winning well over 40x my bet. 

The free spins round triggered on its own. I also paid 30x to play it. Both times, however, the returns weren’t that great. When I paid for it, I only won around 7x my bet, which was disappointing. I thought that having 1,024 ways to win, cascades, and the chance to unlock extra wilds would have given me a bigger free spins win.

In terms of design, I thought the soundtrack was pleasant and I liked the look of the symbols. The plain green background could have been something better, but it fitted in with the classic vibe of the slot.
