For the most part, I was making between 0.50x to 2x wins from symbol combinations which isn’t much. 

In my opinion, the base game serves primarily as a stepping stone to the bonus, where the real opportunities for big wins lie. The first bonus I triggered came from landing 3 scroll symbols, granting me 7 free spins. This round rewarded me with a decent return, yielding a 6.30x win. 

I managed to trigger the free spins round again soon after, but luck wasn’t on my side—I didn’t win anything at all. For such a highly anticipated feature, the lack of results was not just disappointing but frustrating in multiple ways. To add insult to injury, just a single wild on the very next spin led me to make a 12x win which was higher than all other free spin triggers. 

The bonus game is the most coveted feature in this game and requires 3 bonus symbols to land on adjacent reels. This feature was quite a challenge to trigger especially due to the adjacent reels requirement. Three cannon bonus symbols trigger the battleship bonus where you shoot down multipliers up to 20x and get an instant win. 

On the other hand, three bonus chest symbols trigger the treasure hunt feature which was both fun and more profitable than the previous bonuses. Here you can win up to 5x multipliers and I was able to get a 60x win in the round which helped me recover most of the losses I made during the base game. 

With all that out of the way, I really enjoyed the Treasure Island slot game by Espresso Games because of the beautiful design, interactive gameplay, and the sheer amount of features available for you to play around with. However, it still has a low potential for big wins which is noticeable in more than a few Espresso Games titles.
