As I stepped into this chilling adventure, I placed my bets across the 20 fixed paylines. I took a conservative approach and didn't bet a lot of money each time – I wanted to make my game last longer and see how it goes without taking big risks.

The symbols are a grim assembly of horror's finest. The lower-paying symbols, J, Q, K, and A, look like they're stitched together from zombie skin and don't pay much. Then, there's the Wolfman and the castle, which give you a little more, like 1.5x your bet if you line up five.

The creepy creature and the mummy are better, each paying 2x the bet for five on a line. The top of the heap is the demon bride, who's worth 5x your bet when you get five of her. Even with small bets, I won a bunch of times with these regularly forming winning lines.

Frankenstein's monster is the Wild symbol. You can get 10x your bet if you can gather five of these on a pay line. It doesn’t replace the scatter, the mallet, and the stake symbol, which can unlock the bonus game for you.

Get 1, 2, or 3 scatter symbols on reel 3, and you get three free spins. These free spins came with locked Wilds on reels 2, 3, and 4, and I ended up winning over 66 times my bet. I really wished I could've gotten more free spins, or at least, they could be retriggered.

There are three jackpots up for grabs - Gold, Diamond, and Platinum. Every time you spin, a little bit of your bet goes into the jackpots. They can hit at any random spin, and betting more increases your chances of winning one.

As with many of Fazi's creations, the higher the stakes, the greater the chance to unlock these enigmatic treasures. I didn't hit any of the jackpots, and eventually, I realized that if I upped my bets a bit, I'd have a better shot at hitting those big jackpots.

There's also a gamble feature thrown into the gameplay. It's a mini-card game and it awaits at the end of every win.

A flashing 2x multiplier symbol catches your eye on the screen's left. Tap it, and you need to predict the next card's color – red or black? Nail it, and your winnings double. Miiss and you lose your recent win. I gave it a shot a couple of times, but luck wasn't on my side.

I feel the horror-themed five-reel slot is a blast if you're into spooky stuff and like the excitement of jackpots. It would've been nice if they threw in a bigger number of free spins or a chance to retrigger the bonus spins, but it's still a cool game to try out.
