Football Mania by Funky Games throws you into the world's unluckiest football match, where banana peels, birds, turtles, defenders, and referees all seem determined to stop you reaching goal. Every obstacle you beat can build your score, while defenders can award prizes of up to 100x before one final shot decides whether your run ends with up to 10,000x wins or not. 

Unlike traditional crash games, Football Mania makes sure you won't lose your entire bet in one fell swoop. Instead, you're trying to build a score as your player dribbles through a ridiculous obstacle course filled with banana peels, tin cans, turtles, moles, chickens, birds, and defenders. 

Most successful dribbles added between +0.50x and +1.50x, while failures shaved 0.50x to 1x off my score. The biggest moments came from beating defenders, who could reward anywhere from 2x to 100x over your bet or current score.

During my session, most obstacles chipped away at my score rather than adding to it, leaving the majority of my rounds returning just 0.37x to 0.48x. Occasionally I squeezed out 1.15x, but for the most part a defender would fly in with a tackle and end the attack before I ever got close to goal.

A handful of successful dribbles got me past the last defender and through on goal, where scoring multipliers between 2x to 20x turned my score into much bigger payouts. Those successful attacks finished anywhere between 36x and 55x my bet, depending on how many obstacles I faced.

Football Mania feels less like gambling on a football match and more like trying to survive ninety minutes against eleven Sergio Ramos clones. Most runs end with somebody taking the ball off your feet, but when you finally break through and beat the keeper, the payouts feel rewarding.
