Le Granny by Hacksaw Gaming brings back Le Bandit's French streets and raccoon, this time with a wild grandma missing. The feature set is almost identical, up to 100x symbol pays, super cascades, marked squares, rainbows that reveal up to 500x cash prizes, and free spins with up to 10,000x wins on the line. But does this fresh coat of paint improve over the original? Let’s find out! 

The game uses a 6x5 cluster pays grid, where 5 or more matching symbols touching horizontally or vertically create a win. Symbol pays range from 0.10x to 100x your bet, while every winning cluster disappears and new symbols cascade down to fill the gaps. My wins generally landed between 0.35x and 1.90x, with smaller combinations of lower-paying symbols. 

I did get a few bigger hits along the way, with 11 beer mug symbols giving me my biggest base-game win of 15x. 

Marked squares are created from winning positions, while rainbows activate them to reveal coin prizes and other rewards, with four-leaf clovers able to multiply nearby values. I had around five wilds drop across the grid alongside a rainbow, letting me collect more than 10 coins and a cauldron that added another 10x before everything was tallied up for a 45.70x payout.

I landed 3 old-school Polaroid cameras to trigger 8 Luck of the Bandit free spins. The main change here is that marked squares remain in place between spins until a rainbow activates them, giving you more chances to build up the collection. Unfortunately, I only saw one rainbow during the entire feature, arriving right at the end of my spins and dropping prizes ranging from 1x to 10x across the grid for a 46.90x payout.

Le Granny keeps the cluster pays and marked-square mechanics that made Le Bandit entertaining, and my session produced a couple of decent hits from them. The problem is that there isn't much here that feels new, while the 94.23% RTP makes the game harder to recommend when the same basic formula already exists elsewhere.
