Chicken Road: Walk Through a Fiery Road and Reach Golden Eggs for 5000 Coins

Chicken Road by InOut Games takes the simple dare of “cross the road” and cranks it up into a high-stakes arcade challenge. A goofy chicken is your companion, but every step forward is a gamble. The visuals are lighthearted with cartoon-style animations and sizzling manholes waiting to fry your feathered friend, while the RTP of 98% is easily one of the most generous I’ve seen.

The setup is easy to grasp. You pick your bet, choose your difficulty, and then guide the chicken across the manholes one by one. Each step increases your multiplier, but one wrong move and it’s game over. You can cash out at any point, or risk it all for the golden egg prize, going up to 5,000. While the premise is as simple as it gets, there are some variables you need to look out for. 

There are four difficulty levels, each changing both the risk and prize ranges. Easy mode gives you more steps with smaller wins, while hardcore mode cranks up the danger with a max multiplier of over 3,000,000x but very slim chances of success. In my experience, medium was the sweet spot, where I was pulling in 1.5x to 4x wins consistently without making it feel too punishing. 

The hard mode didn’t increase the prizes significantly enough to justify the sharp upswing in difficulty, and hardcore was just too punishing. At one point, I needed six safe steps just to get a 30x return, and that run ended with my chicken cooked on the third jump. 

I usually don’t enjoy games that don’t carry at least one bonus round with them, but with crash titles or instant win games, you aren’t going to see much of that. That said, I really liked how straightforward it was. No bonus rounds or side features, just pure decision-making every step of the way. It really does feel like a crash-style game, but with a cartoon skin and more control over when to push forward.

Chicken Road is silly, tense, and oddly fun for long sessions. It is not complex, but that’s exactly the appeal. The cartoon visuals give it personality, while the push-your-luck gameplay kept me hooked longer than I expected. If you stick to easy or medium, it feels fun and fair with plenty of small wins.
