Simple Mines: Pick Carefully and Watch Out for the Bombs!

Simple Mines certainly lives up to its name. This mine-themed game, which is provably fair, is very straightforward in how it works, yet it has enough variety to make it worth repeat plays. It uses a 5x5 grid with each position hiding a star or a bomb. The aim is to reveal stars and cash out with a decent prize before revealing a bomb. The more stars you collect, the bigger the win. 

What I liked about Simple Mines when playing it was that I could decide exactly how many bombs there were. With a 5x5 grid, there were 25 positions in total, and I could choose any number between 2 and 24. I went with the preset options of 3 and 5 for most of my playthrough, while also having a few turns with 10 bombs in play.

The more bombs there are, the bigger the prize I could have cashed out after revealing each star. Of course, every mine caused me to lose the round, so I had to avoid bombs if I wanted to win big. The game’s core concept worked well with the probably fair format, and I thought it was well worth playing. The fact that there were 23 different numbers of bombs I could have had meant that there was a huge amount of variety.

I didn’t end up making money from playing Simple Mines, but I still enjoyed it. If this game sounds appealing to you, I definitely recommend giving it a go. You can start with as few as 2  and increase the number whenever you like. The game is suitable for anyone who likes uncomplicated games of chance where they have some degree of control over how much they stand to win.
