Inspector Wilds: A Detective Slot With a Pretty Good Respin Feature

One of Iron Dog Studio’s new online slots for 2025 is Inspector Wilds. It’s a 5x4 slot with an inspector as its main character. He’s trying to solve a mystery, and there are various symbols, not to mention a respin feature, that are designed with the central inspector theme in mind.

When playing Inspector Wilds, I managed to win quite often during the base game. All of my payouts were on the smaller side, but they helped prevent my losses from getting bigger. Despite winning regularly, I didn’t make a profit on my playthrough, which was to be expected.

My biggest win came from the Hold & Win respin feature. This came into play early on and gave me the chance to earn various cash prizes. It started with three respins as usual, with the number resetting to three whenever a respin produced at least one new symbol.

The cash prizes that landed were small, though some special symbols boosted their values. For example, there was an evidence bag symbol that collected the values of all other symbols; two of these symbols landed, which was great.

There was also a symbol that added its value to a random selection of other symbols. Thanks to these, I ended up finishing the Hold & Win feature with a payout worth 29x my bet, which was more than I was expecting. 

Again, it was the special symbols that made the round rewarding for me. If none of them had landed, my payout would have been around 10x or less. The Hold & Win feature was enjoyable enough, mainly thanks to its special symbols.

The slot only has 10 paylines. Since it had a 5x4 grid, I thought the number of paylines should have been bigger. Still, it was a good enough slot. I’d suggest giving it a go, but just be aware that there’s not much to it apart from the respin round.
