Cleopatra’s Fortune from Iron Dog Studio lets us enter the pyramids with walls covered by magical heiroglyphics hinting at jackpots up to 1,000x your bet. As your resident treasure hunter, I wasn’t very amused with the regular cash prizes and hold and win bonus but I was yet to see what the bonus game truly had to offer. 

You get a three-reel and four-row grid here with eight paylines connecting all the symbol spaces and a high volatility setting. Symbol pays start at 1x and go up to 20x your bet for regular symbols. In my session, lower symbols paid me between 1x to 2x my bet, usually every 5 to 9 spins. But they were not the main attraction here. 

The interesting part starts with the coin symbols. Most of the coins I saw carried values between 1x to 5x, with the occasional 10x or 15x popping up. In the base game, I managed a 25x win from coins combined with a Collect symbol, which was decent but still just a warm up.

To trigger the bonus, I landed six coin symbols and a Collect symbol. That launches a Hold and Win round with three respins. Reels one and three can land coin values, while the middle reel only lands Collect symbols. Every time a new coin drops, the Collect symbol grabs the value and the respins reset back to three.

I came close to landing the Mini jackpot at one point but missed it by a single symbol. Late in the feature, I landed another Collect symbol carrying a 3x multiplier. That changed everything. The stacked coin values were multiplied, and I finished the round with a 180x win.

Cleopatra’s Fortune is not generous in the base game and the 95% RTP does not help. But the Hold and Win mechanic has real punch if the multipliers land at the right time. If you are comfortable with swings and long quiet stretches between features, this one can deliver solid hits.
