Shooting Galaxy: Shoot Down Pixelated Aliens for up to 555x Payouts

Mascot Gaming is back with a blast of old-school Gameboy nostalgia in Shooting Galaxy. You’ll track down and battle pixelated monsters for up to 100x payouts, blast planets carrying up to 55x cash prizes, and go toe-to-toe with alien bosses that can reward up to 55x your bet. With familiar creatures that might remind you of old-school Pokémon, here’s a closer look at what kind of prizes this retro shooter has in store for us. 

The battleground is set in an alien world, surrounded by calm mountain ranges that contrast with the chaos ahead. Once the action began, I noticed lower-tier enemies appeared in groups of 3 to 5 and drifted around the screen. The higher-value targets usually showed up alone, with 2 to 6 of them appearing at a time. What stood out to me was how the payouts start strong, with even the lowest symbols offering a decent 2x your bet.

You get access to two different weapons in the game. There’s a basic attack that takes a bit longer to burst through enemies, and a powerful charged shot that costs 10x your bet but works wonders on tougher foes. You can also activate auto-fire and let the turret handle everything, but I rarely used it since strategy plays a big role here. Enemies usually move in predictable patterns, so I preferred focusing fire on specific targets for maximum effect. 

Most of the payouts I made stayed between 1x to 12x my bet until I triggered the bonus feature. This brought me face to face with one of the bosses, usually the giant toad. He never shows up alone and always has a line of minions protecting him. I’d recommend using your default attack to clear out the smaller enemies first, then switching to the power attack when you see a clean shot to hit the boss directly. Taking down the boss got me nearly a 130x payout which was the highlight of my playthrough. 

Overall, I really enjoyed the Shooting Galaxy slot game, especially for its art style. As someone who loves old-school Gameboy titles, the sprite work here must have taken a ton of effort and it shows. Big credit to Mascot Gaming for pulling it off. The payouts are solid too, which makes the whole experience even better. I’d definitely recommend trying out the Shooting Galaxy demo for free above and giving it a shot at one of the casinos below if you're feeling lucky.
