It may not sound like much, but it turned out to be a pretty entertaining ride. Here’s what my time with this down-to-earth slot was like.

The base game runs on a 5x5 reel setup with 50 fixed paylines and a medium-high volatility setting. Each spin comes with a random wild multiplier between 1x and 4x, which made my base game wins feel pretty unpredictable. When the multiplier stayed at 1x, most of my wins stayed between 0.40x to 1.50x my bet. But the moment it hit 2x or higher, payouts jumped up fast. One round even got me 8x my bet.

At first, I was let down by the fact that symbols only pay up to 2x my bet. But the game’s mechanics made up for it. Wild multipliers can boost multi-line wins and make those low symbol values feel a lot more rewarding. These two mechanics work off of each other brilliantly as wilds usually land on the second or third reel and create an opportunity to win with multiple symbol combos. A gamble mini-game also follows payouts, but I didn’t have much success in the rounds. 

Three scatter symbols helped me trigger the free spins feature, offering three different options. I could go for more spins with moving wilds, fewer spins with expanding wilds, or try my luck with wild multipliers. In my tests, both the wild multipliers and expanding wilds felt a bit too inconsistent. The expanding wilds setup gave me the best results with payouts ranging from 25x to 40x my bet.

Next came the Smash the Pumpkin bonus. It’s a simple mini-game where you pick from three pumpkins and progress through up to four stages with direct cash prizes. While the rewards were decent, often landing between 50x to 65x my bet, the bonus was extremely hard to trigger. Because of that, I didn’t find it worth banking on.
