Immortal Zeus Brings Thunder but Leaves You Wanting More

The moment Immortal Zeus loaded up, I was pulled in by its dark, divine aesthetic. The game looks and feels like something epic is about to happen. Thunder cracks in the background, Zeus stands tall in the spotlight, and the reels are framed in pillars and glowing blue energy. Visually, this one’s a winner there’s no question about it.

But once I started spinning, that excitement slowly faded. The base game feels slower than expected, with a high number of dead spins between any sort of excitement. I kept waiting for things to heat up, and while it eventually did with the free spins, the wait was longer than I liked. You need three scatter symbols to trigger the bonus, and they felt just out of reach more often than not.

The Zeus Wild is the central figure here, he substitutes for most symbols and can help form decent wins, especially when you catch multiple on a single line. However, his impact feels limited until you get into the free spins mode. That’s where the game reveals its better side. Multipliers are applied during the feature, and wins can start stacking up fast if you land the right combinations. But again, getting there takes patience.

One thing I’ll give the game credit for is its sound design. The background score, though dramatic, never gets overwhelming. The lightning animations tied to wins give a satisfying pop of energy, but they don’t make up for the grindy gameplay. The potential is clearly there, it just doesn’t strike as often as I hoped.

If you're someone who values graphics and atmosphere, Immortal Zeus won’t disappoint. Just don’t expect constant action or frequent bonus rounds. It’s a slow burn, not a thunderstorm.

Super 777s: A Classic Slot With Immersive Design

There are loads of modern online slots whose design is inspired by classic games. A case in point is Super 777s from Mobilots. It has BARs, stars, bells, 7s, and a few fruits appearing as symbols on the reels, and has a soundtrack that combines fast-paced music with the sounds of a crowd. The way it’s designed, it’s meant to look like a video slot in a land-based casino. 

The gameplay was good enough, I thought. Super 777s came with a standard 5x3 layout with 1-30 paylines on each spin (I could choose any number of paylines) and two bonus features. These were a free spins round and a game that gave a cash prize. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to trigger either of these, which was a shame. The special symbols required for these features did appear often enough, though I never managed to get three of a kind on the same spin.

On every spin, I could have any number of paylines from 1-30 active; I went for 30 for all spins to give myself the best chance of winning. I earned a few decent payouts, though there weren’t any significant wins. I was hoping, of course, to secure a big win or two but that never happened.

Having played Super 777s, I would recommend it to others, especially those who enjoy slots with a classic feel to them. If you’re going to give it a spin, bear in mind that the special features can be hard to trigger and that large payouts are rare. It’s also worth thinking about how many paylines you want: the more you choose, the greater the chance of winning but the bigger your bet.

Licky Luck brings us 5 reels and 5 rows with cluster pays starting out at just four matching symbols. The game's low volatility ensured that I was able to land symbol combinations quite frequently. While most low-paying symbols only offered returns between 0.20x to 1.50x, the game occasionally spiced things up. On rare spins, a sprinkle of wilds or higher-value symbols boosted my wins to as much as 5x my bet. 

The game does not have bonus features so the base game is all you have to make profits here. For that, relying on the cascading reels was what made the game fun for me. Additionally, landing 4 or more jackpot symbols can add to a pool that pays a small jackpot prize if you manage to get the pool up to $50, but I didn’t manage to get the said Jackpot symbols more than a couple of times during my playthrough. 

Despite the fact that there isn’t much other than just hitting the spin button, the cute animations and successive cascades made the game quite fun to play for longer sessions. If you haven’t already, I suggest you play the demo above to get a feel for the game before playing it for real money.
