Fire Diamond: Dig Through Crystal Caves in Search of Up to 1,000x Multipliers

Real diamonds take millions of years to form under pressure, but in Fire Diamond by Novomatic, they come out of the cave walls already burning. Its 5x3 grid hides multipliers up to 1,000x and 10 free spins, which grow longer with every scatter that lands.

In the base game, you can land BARs, bells, sevens, and crowns, with the table-leading crown paying 50x the bet for five of a kind. As if I were concentrating exclusively on shiny things, which wasn’t the case, my base game was practically nonexistent. When I landed something, it was mostly thanks to the multiplier feature.

That one wakes up when 3, 4, or 5 flaming diamonds land on a payline, starting from the first reel. Each diamond grabs a random value from the board above the reels, from 2x to 1,000x, and all of them add up to your win. In my session, it created three wins of 8x, 11x, and 14x my bet.

It never went higher, most likely because I never got a multiplier above 7x, and most were 3x.

In more than 100 spins, that’s all I could find, and whenever a diamond hit lifted my balance a notch, the base gameplay made sure it shrank faster than before. That’s why I hoped to trigger 10 free spins by landing three scatter symbols.

Inside the round, some values on the multiplier board heat up and stay raised until the end. Diamonds also land more often, and every scatter that shows up adds one more free spin. Once the round ends, the board cools back down to its usual values.

Overall, I missed a bonus buy option here, because although I triggered the diamond feature a few times, I was honestly bored.
