The game runs on a 5x3 grid with 25 paylines. In my session, base game wins landed every 3 to 6 spins, usually between 0.12x to 1.70x my bet. Most of that came from low symbols, and even when things lined up better, payouts stayed modest. My best base hit came from a stretched line of Qs that paid 4.48x returns, which tells you where the ceiling sits during regular play.

The respin feature is triggered by landing coin bags. Each bag gets collected above its reel, and once two land on the same reel, that reel turns into a wild and locks in place. You then get respins, and every new coin bag resets the spins and can lock more reels. Sounds strong, but coin bags were rare for me, and even when I triggered it, most returns stayed under 3x my bet, so it never really built momentum.

Overall, Banditos has a solid idea with the locked wild reels and wild-heavy free spins, but it feels like it showed up a decade late. The base game drags, the respins don’t appear enough, and while the bonus helps, it’s not enough to carry your bankroll.
