Roadquake: Survive Post Apocalyptic Drag Racing For up to 20,000x Wins

The apocalypse has come and gone, but the road warriors of Roadquake by Peter & Sons never stopped racing. Armed with rockets, miniguns, bombs, cascading reels, and multiplier hotspots that can climb all the way to 1,024x, they're battling for scraps worth up to 20,000x your bet. I jumped into the convoy to see what I could get out of it.

The game plays on a 6x5 grid using scatter pays, requiring 8 or more matching symbols anywhere on the reels to form a win. Symbol payouts range between 0.30x and 15x your bet. Personally, I found the grid a little small for this type of setup, where you really want as many symbols dropping as possible, but it still kept the action flowing. During my session, I was landing wins every 3 to 4 spins, with most paying a healthy 0.80x to 2.80x my bet.

Roadquake throws far more than cascades into the mix. Every winning symbol leaves behind a Multiplier Hotspot that starts at 2x and doubles whenever another winning cluster lands on the same position. Miniguns transform symbols to help create extra matches, Bombs multiply nearby Hotspots by 4x, while Rockets blast through entire rows or columns, clearing symbols and boosting hotspot multipliers even further.

I eventually landed 4 Scatter symbols, awarding seven Free Spins. During the feature, every Multiplier Hotspot stays on the grid between spins instead of resetting, allowing the board to become stronger the longer the bonus lasts. My first bonus regularly built 2x to 4x hotspots, with several climbing to 8x and even 16x, and those sticky multipliers carried me to a very respectable 72x payout.

The game wasn't finished with me either. Barely 20 spins later, I triggered the bonus again. This time, the Hotspots snowballed out of control, with much of the grid sitting at 16x, while several positions climbed to 32x midway through the feature. Once a decent cluster finally connected across those multipliers, the reels exploded into a massive 467.40x win.

Roadquake is exactly the sort of slot Peter & Sons excels at. It throws several mechanics onto the reels at once, yet they all work toward the same goal of building an increasingly dangerous multiplier grid. When those hotspots finally connect after a few good cascades, the payouts escalate frighteningly fast, and that's what kept me glued to this one.
