Tomb of Gold 2: What Riches Lie in the Pharaoh's Burial Site?

Tomb of Gold 2 is one of many online slots themed to ancient Egypt. It’s developed by Play’n GO and is the follow-up to the provider’s slot game Tomb of Gold. The sequel builds on the original, offering better visuals and stats, such as a higher maximum payout of 10,000x.

When playing Tomb of Gold 2, I liked how the slot used the all-ways-win mechanic. It had a 6x4 grid, which meant that on every spin there were no fewer than 4,096 ways to win. Even so, the slot’s math model meant that payouts were frequent but small. I won quite often, though the wins were always just a few times my bet or less.

Then there was the Lock’N Gold respin feature, which I got to play twice. I needed six coins to trigger it. There were many spins where several coins landed, but not enough for the feature to come into play. The two times I played Lock’N Gold, it was because I landed four coins, then the reels without coins respan and I ended up getting the two extra coins. The first time I played Lock’N Gold, I won a decent 12x my bet; my payout for the second time was slightly better at 19x.

The free spins round looked appealing since it came with a random multiplier and the more scatters I landed, the more spins I could have won. However, the feature didn’t come into play. There were several spins where just two scatters appeared, though there weren't respins like there were for the Lock’N Hold feature.

The final feature was Stack of Gold. As I played, all coins were collected and each one had a chance of awarding me one of four jackpot prizes. Towards the end of my playthrough, the feature triggered and I won the smallest jackpot, Mini (20x).

Having played Tomb of Gold 2, I would certainly recommend it to others. It’s a well-designed game that represents the Egypt theme to a high standard and has enough features to make its gameplay enjoyable.
