I came aboard Pink Beard’s ship late in the night and a pink kraken had already attacked the ship. This was no ordinary monster though and if I wanted to save my soon-to-be Kraken food captain, I had to win in a wager where I had 5 reels, 3 rows, and 10 paylines to make my moves. Within these reels are cascading moonshine, cannonballs, and compass symbols to name a few oddities. 

A noteworthy feature in this slot is that paylines work both ways from left to right and right to left, this effectively doubled their range. Combined with the cascading reels mechanic I was able to make relatively quick wins between 0.40x to 2.50x my bet every 2 to 4 spins on average. Surprisingly, wilds were not very common and mostly landed on the middle reel making them pretty useless despite their expanding nature. 

I only landed a handful of successful wins from the expanding wilds feature with the biggest of them all coming in at 6.20x my bet. I had to set the pirate captain free and land three wild chests and opening them by using them in symbol formations was the only way I could make the sea monster to surface. I was able to do it pretty early on in my session and win 10 free spins. 

During the spins, the pink monster opened up its jaws and I could fire cannonballs at its mouth to weaken it. Any treasure chests that land during the feature also become sticky until they take part in a successful cascade. I made a decent 19.80x win from the round early on and the second time I triggered it I made a significant 41.50x win thanks to a few chests carrying 2x multipliers.

With this win, I was able to pay off the ransom for the pirate captain and Pink Beard’s ship was free from the sea monster, for now. I really enjoyed the Pink Beard slot game by Poggiplay, especially for its unique take on a pirate theme and fun features. The gameplay is action-packed and wild multipliers during the bonus round can bring in some respectable wins.
