The Dog House is back, except this time Pragmatic Play decided one kennel wasn’t enough and built an entire mansion for these mutts. We’ve got expanding dog house wilds, colossal 3x3 multipliers, sticky wilds during free spins, and enough barking dogs to make your neighbors file multiple complaints. Here’s how I decided to spin it up and try to hit the 15,000x max win. 

The setup stays simple enough with 5 reels and 20 paylines, but those 20 lines honestly work against you more than they help. Symbol pays range from 0.10x to 37.50x your bet, and while base game wins came fairly often every 3 to 4 spins, most of them stayed between 0.20x to 1x my bet. The frustrating part is how often matching symbols would land across the fourth and fifth reels only for the paylines to completely ignore them. 

Wilds are where the game actually starts earning its keep. The regular dog house wild usually drops as a tiny 1x1 symbol carrying a 2x multiplier, but that multiplier only boosts the line it directly helps complete, instead of your total win. Most of the time these regular wilds were decent for smaller bumps, pushing wins toward the 3.50x range at best.

The real money comes when the expanded and colossal variants start landing. Expanded wilds cover entire vertical sections, which is where I started seeing up to 7x payouts without much effort. Then the colossal 3x3 wild landed once and completely embarrassed the smaller versions, smashing through the middle reels for a straight 22x hit by itself. 

Free spins trigger with three bonus symbols landing on reels 1, 3, and 5. Once they hit, a weird little 3x3 barrel grid spins to decide how many free spins you actually get. Mine stopped at 15 for three red paw scatters. During the feature, every wild sticks in place and carries either a 2x or a 3x multiplier. Unfortunately, there’s also that horrible blue ghost wild mechanic that removes sticky wilds from the board whenever it lands. 

I managed to stack six sticky wilds carrying 2x and 3x multipliers across the middle reels. One spin connected higher-paying dog symbols for over 150x, and the very next spin somehow topped it with a monstrous 280x payout. By the end of the feature, the total payout reached a ridiculous 616.50x my bet, easily the biggest bonus round I’ve seen all month.

The Big Dog House feels like Pragmatic finally loosened the leash on this series. The regular base game still has the same frustrating line limitations, but once the bigger wild variants and sticky multipliers start lining up, the slot becomes genuinely dangerous in the best possible way. Remove that annoying ghost mechanic, and this honestly might have been the strongest Dog House release yet.
