Pragmatic Play has taken its most famous kennel and cranked everything up to Megaways proportions in The Dog House Megaways 1000 slot. This time, we’ve got wild kennels carrying up to 1,000x multipliers, and four different free spins bonuses where sticky and random wilds can bring up to 25,000x wins. I’ve been a fan of the series since Muttley Crew dropped, so I was eager to test this new release out. 

The game follows the familiar 6-reel Megaways setup with between 2 and 7 rows, creating up to 117,649 ways to win. Regular symbol values are surprisingly low, paying between 0.05x and 6.75x your bet, so most of the heavy lifting falls onto the Wild symbols. Thankfully, they can land with up to 1,000x multipliers, though my session didn’t see anything close to that. 

I regularly saw 2x and 3x Wilds drop across the middle reels, helping produce returns of 0.60x to 2.40x every three to four spins. 

Eventually, I landed three Scatter symbols and was given the choice between Sticky Wild Free Spins or Random Wild Free Spins. I opted for Sticky Wilds first, where every Wild remains locked on the reels until the feature ends. My round only managed to collect two Sticky Wilds, both carrying 2x multipliers, but they connected enough lower-paying symbols throughout the feature to produce a small 33.70x payout.

Later in the session, I managed to trigger the feature again and this time picked Random Wild Free Spins, where new Wilds rain onto the reels every spin instead of sticking in place. The constant stream of Wilds made the feature feel much livelier, and two 3x multiplier Wilds linking together across several lower-paying symbols carried the round all the way to a 58x total win. 

The Dog House Megaways 1000 feels like Pragmatic Play giving one of its biggest franchises a proper upgrade instead of simply rehashing the old mechanics over and over again. It’s simple with wild multipliers doing the heavy lifting in both the base game and free spins. The max win is sizable as always but I doubt how anybody will get close to it considering the low symbol pays.
