Golden Fist: Gear Up for the Ultimate Showdown!

Golden Fist is a martial arts-themed slot that is centered on Bruce Lee, the legendary American actor. The artwork on the game seems a little amateur to me. The wild symbol doesn’t even resemble the real Bruce Lee, and everything else just seems stereotypical Chinese. There are even two Chinese-type buildings sitting at the top of the grid, along with 2 golden dragons, which honestly made me confused. The yin and yang icon is the most valuable in the game, and the actor himself is the wild. The design seems like something I could expect to see in a 90s video game.

But the poor artwork doesn’t take away from the substance in this slot. The first feature I saw was the random wilds. This seems to happen quite frequently and makes it easier to get winning combinations.   

The most impressive feature I got was the Fifth Element Treasure Map. This is triggered by the scatter and prompts you to pick one chest. You’ll then be led to a random bonus game, which could include free spins. The uncertainty involved in this feature kept my heart racing the entire time. Keep in mind that there are 5 possible bonus games. 

I was lucky enough to get the 15 free spins with a 3X multiplier on one set of reels. This particular bonus can be lucrative, especially if you’re lucky enough to land a Crystal Book symbol during the free game (triggers a mini-game with a potential 5X multiplier).  

Overall, I feel like this is a great action-filled slot that was messed up by poor graphics and artwork. It definitely has a Chinese look and feel, but some things seem misplaced and unnecessary. I like the bonus features and find them quite lucrative.
