Wonder Lamp: An Arabian Slot With a Unique Paylines System

Slots can be repetitive and monotonous, so I always appreciate it when there’s a game that does things differently. Wonder Lamp from Triple Cherry is a great example. It has an Arabian theme, a cast of Aladdin-style characters, and an atmospheric soundtrack, and generally looks good. What makes it great, in my opinion, is the way extra rows can be added.

The slot starts with a standard 5x3 grid and since it uses the all-ways-win system, there are 243 ways to win. The grid is set at the mouth of the Cave of Wonders, with the large stone leopard head above it. When I played the slot, this head would rise after every win, revealing an extra row of symbols and increasing the number of ways to win. If a new row had any winning symbols, the cave’s mouth would extend further.

It was possible to have as many as 10 rows of symbols, though I never reached this amount in the base game. The slot had a free spins round that I decided to buy for a cost of just over 95x my bet. This started with the cave mouth at its highest point, so there were 10 rows active. It moved down one row with every spin until the grid was back to its 5x3 setting.

I was glad I bought the free spins round because I ended up winning 124x, making a profit of nearly 30x. I liked the way it worked and thought it was good how the mouth of the cave tied into the feature of adding and removing extra rows. 

All in all, I had a great time playing Wonder Lamp and liked how it brought something new to the table. I would happily recommend it to others and am keen to play it again.
